Nil Table
The Nil is the table we reach for when a room needs to work harder than its floor plan suggests. Its legs sit back from the corners, so people can slide in without negotiating with a post. The apron is shaped to give knees a little more air, and the top is allowed to move with the season instead of being locked flat by force.
For a six-seat Cairo flat, 180 x 90 cm is usually the calm choice. 220 x 100 cm makes sense when Friday lunch really means ten people and three serving dishes. The 260 cm version is for rooms that have earned it, not for rooms where it will turn every chair into an obstacle.
Available configurations
- 160, 180, 220 and 260 cm fixed tops, with custom lengths reviewed case by case
- 90 or 100 cm depths; round 120 and 140 cm versions for compact dining corners
- Oak or walnut, natural or smoked oil; selected tables accept a concealed extension
- Best for families who eat at the table, host often, and dislike a delicate surface
